Free Parking Information
Parking is available free of charge two hours prior to tip-off until one hour after the conclusion of the game in any campus lot, with the exception of designated green parking spots at the top of Hayes-Healy garage on Golden Gate Avenue adjacent to the gymnasium. Campus parking lots of choice include the lot at the Koret Center, located at the corner of Turk and Parker and the Hayes-Healy underground garage, located on Golden Gate Ave. just past the Sobrato Center. SAN FRANCISCO –  The University of San Francisco men's basketball team returns for its final non-conference home game of the 2017-18 season on Tuesday, when the Dons host the Radford Highlanders at 7:00 p.m. at War Memorial at the Sobrato Center.  To purchase tickets, visit Dons Ticket Central or call 415-422-2USF (2873).
 
USF (6-4) is smack in the middle of their busiest stretch of the season, playing their third game in five days, part of a stretch that includes five games in eight all before the holidays.  On Sunday, the Dons fell to host Stanford 71-59. At home this season, the Dons are 6-2, and coming off an impressive 74-61 win over UC Davis which boasted a No. 24 ranking in the daily RPI. 
 
For the year, USF has three players averaging 10 or more points, and is led by freshman guard Souley Boum's 15.0 points per game.  He is joined by Chase Foster (12.0) and Jordan Ratinho (11.8).  Against the Cardinal on Sunday, both Boum and Foster got hot in the second half and led the Dons with 14 points apiece.
 
ABOUT THE DONS
  • In the Dons' 10 contests this year, four have come during the week.USF is 2-0 on Mondays and 1-1 on Tuesdays. In those four contests, USF is averaging 75.8 points per game, while holding their foes to 68.2.USF is also shooting 43 percent from the field in midweek games, going 102-for-237 and 31.3 percent from 3-point range, going 35-for-112.
  • Freshman Souley Boum is remarkably good at getting to the free throw line. His 53 made free throws this season is already 10th most in a single-season by a freshman at USF surpassing former Don, Perris Blackwell, who made 50 in the 2009-10 season. Next up on the list is Cody Doolin who made 57 in 2010-11. He is currently 60th in the nation in made free throws, and fifth among freshman.
  • Senior Chase Foster had a breakout year in his junior campaign, scoring a career-high 334 points, finishing second on the team. This season, Foster is second on the team in points per game, and first in total points with 120.At his current pace, Foster will finish the season with 372 points. This year he's already recorded double figures in seven contests.  In his previous three seasons he has 21 total.
  • The Dons are 84th in the nation turnovers per game, averaging 12.5 per contest. A big reason for that is junior guard Frankie Ferrari, who is averaging 2.6 assists per contest to just 1.2 turnovers per game.  His 2.4 assist/turnover ratio ranks fourth best in the WCC.
 
ABOUT THE HIGHLANDERS
  • Radford is a member of the Big South Conference where they were picked to finish seventh in the pre-season poll.
  • The program began playing basketball in the 1974-75 season and owns two appearances in the NCAA Tournament, the most recent coming in 2009.
  • Radford enters Tuesday night's contest with a 5-5 overall record after falling to Nevada 77-62 on Sunday evening in Reno.
  • On the road, the Highlanders are 2-5.As a team, they are averaging 69.1 points per game, while allowing 70.1.
  • They are shooting 42.3 percent (250-591) from the field and 34.4 percent (85-247) from 3-point range.
  • Leading the team in scoring is junior forward Ed Polite, Jr, at 11.4 points per game. A Second Team All-Big South Preseason pick, Polite is shooting 46.2 percent from the field, and grabbing 7.5 rebounds per contest.
