THE RUNDOWN
SAN FRANCISCO - The University of San Francisco women's basketball headed to Texas today for a game against UT-Arlington on Thursday at College Park Center. The Dons (5-5, 0-0) and Mavericks (5-5, 0-0) will square off on ESPN3. Tip-off is set for 2:30 p.m. PST/4:30 p.m. CST.Â
The contest against the Texan team will be the final nonconference game until West Coast Conference action starts on Dec. 28 versus San Diego at War Memorial at the Sobrato Center. With the Mavericks on a five-game losing streak and Coach Goodenbour's squad looking to string together three consecutive wins, the game will be a good opportunity to gain some real momentum and rhythm before the WCC campaign begins. It will also be a chance for the Dons to gain confidence on the road, currently at 1-3 when away from War Memorial at the Sobrato Center.Â
