SAN FRANCISCO - The Dons have a big week ahead as they open West Coast Conference play with a Thursday night match up against No. 17 San Diego. The Toreros enter the match with a 7-3 overall record. The visitors were selected to finish second in the preseason polls with two players named to the All-WCC preseason team, Kaity Edwards and Kristen Gengenbacher.Â
The Dons are looking to bounce back after a tough WCC tune-up weekend at the UCI/LBSU Invitational in which the young squad went 0-3.Â

- Freshman Erica Ronda leads the team with 133 total kills, 2.89 per set. Ronda also tops the team in serve aces with 13.Â
- Outside hitter Carly Lowry ranks second on the team with 125 slams in the same amount of starts (46).Â
- Nora Buvarp-Lavik registers the highest hitting percentage on the team, .225, which amounts to 92 kills (third on the roster).Â
- The duo of Laura Leap and Marjolijn Oskam are the defensive powerhouse for the Dons, amassing 74 blocks total. Cal transfer Leap leads with 15 solo blocks and 24 block assists. Oskam, the native of Norway, has recorded seven solo blocks and 28 block assists in the year.Â
- Erin Anthony, another freshman, is the starting setter for the Dons and has tallied 394 assists in 46 starts.Â
- Leap and Oskam's defensive efforts are bolstered by Sabrina Blackwell. The libero leads with 131 digs.Â
