AT A GLANCE
SAN FRANCISCO - It's another week of West Coast Conference action for the young Dons. Week one saw the two top teams of the WCC visit the Hilltop, both ranked in the top-20 with No. 17 San Diego and No. 9 BYU. The Dons (3-12, 0-2) fell to both rosters, but managed to pick up a set versus the Toreros. Now, in week two, the Dons will play three matches - one on the road and two at War Memorial at the Sobrato Center. Saint Mary's starts off the long week for the Dons with a Tuesday evening match in Moraga, Calif.
The Gaels are 4-8 overall, 0-2 in conference play, sitting just above the Dons in ninth place. Saint Mary's was voted to finish seventh in the conference and had one member of the 2017 All-WCC Preseason team - junior outside hitter Lindsey Knudsen. They rank second amongst WCC teams in blocks with 22 total compared to the Dons 16. Saint Mary's ranks fourth amongst WCC teams in overall digs and service aces. Sophomore Alexsa Parker is first in the conference in aces.

- The two freshman, Erica Ronda and Erin Anthony, lead the team in their respective positions.
- Outside hitter Ronda has 152 kills, 2.87 per set. She also has tallied 15 serve aces to top the roster.
- Starting setting Anthony has amassed 446 assists, 8.42 per set. The Texas native is second on the squad in serving with 12 serve aces, just behind Ronda. She also tops in attack percentage (.257) on 38 kills.
- Cal transfer Laura Leap has made the hilltop her home and is proving to be a defensive leader. Leap leads with 20 solo blocks and 30 block assists for 50 blocks on the season. With her numbers, she ranks fifth in the conference.
- As a team, USF has tallied 44 solo blocks compared to their opponent's 28.
- Dons still a have 2-0 record when going into five sets.
