STOCKTON, Calif. — Three second half goals by Pacific (8-3-2, 2-1 WCC) set the tone and sealed the victory over the University of San Francisco's men's soccer team (3-9-1, 1-2 WCC), Friday night at Knoles Field.
At the 21st minute, Pacific's Jonathan Jimenez received a pass from Camden Riley and drove the ball up towards the goal and shot it from the far left side of the box into the right corner to lead 1-0. Both teams were tied at two shot attempts and each with one save in the first half. Jordan Hughes was the only Don who led with one shot attempt and a shot on goal.
In the second half, Sean Bowman and Ashish Chattha tallied a shot apiece for a potential goal for USF, but Pacific took advantage of the Dons territory and scored its second goal of the game from Alfredo Alcala. It was a double assist from Jimenez and Charles Breweh to Alcala in the middle of the box as he shot right past Ruben Stuiver into the center of the goal at the 69th mark. Pacific carried on its offensive momentum as the Tigers scored two more goals to seal their victory as the third goal came quick off the second. Ryan Her made a fast pass to Riley as he shot just beyond Stuiver into the center of the goal for his sixth of the season at the 70th minute. USF recorded only two shot attempts in a span of 20 minutes. A minute before the buzzer, Pacific's Her launched the ball from 18-yards out right into the back of the net to secure the Tigers' 4-0 victory.
Pacific outshot San Francisco eight to seven. Jordan Hughes, Sandro Bradara and Santiago DiGiuseppe recorded a shot attempt apiece. Ashish Chattha and Sean Bowman led the team with two shot attempts.
