THE RUNDOWN
SAN FRANCISCO – Behind a double-double performance from Anna Seilund, the University of San Francisco defeated Santa Clara, 64-47, at War Memorial at the Sobrato Center Saturday afternoon. Including Seilund, who had a career-high in assists, four Dons scored in double-digits. USF was just shy of a season-high shooting percentage
Although the Broncos struck first with a pair of free throws, the Dons responded with 17 unanswered points, including two three pointers from Anna Seilund. A trey from Santa Clara would break the spree and kick off an eight-point swing, but would not be enough to catch up to the Dons. At the close of the first, USF held Santa Clara to just eight points to their 17.
Coach Goodenbour's squad shot 63.6 percent from the field, with another three three pointers, to outscore the visitors 35-21 by half. Defensively, the Dons held the Broncos to 28.6 percent shooting from the field and forced 11 turnovers in the first half.
The Broncos were unable to slow down the Dons in the second half resulting in a 64-47 victory for the green and gold.

WHAT'S GOODenbour
"Today was a really good team effort. We shared the ball well and we were making shots. The game is a lot easier when you make shots. I thought Kayln played really well and smart defensively. Michaela and Moa played solid defense, as well. We talked about playing with focus and purpose and getting a win at home and they came out and did those things."
