SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Closing out their 2021 fall season at home, the University of San Francisco volleyball team will host Gonzaga in their final match at War Memorial at the Sobrato Center this season on Saturday evening.

DONS AT A GLANCE:
- Previously, the Dons battled Santa Clara before ultimately falling to the Broncos, 3-1 on Friday, Nov. 5. Most recently, USF's match against Portland on Thursday, Nov. 11 was canceled due to COVID-19 concerns within the Portland program.
- Heading into the last home match of the season, Orsula Staka currently ranks fifth in the WCC in hitting percentage with a .332 clip.
- On Saturday, USF will be celebrating five seniors who will be playing in their final contest on the Hilltop: Bruna Correa, Tanner Pemberton, Valeria Alegrias Cambindo, Katie Wagstaff and Sophie Sydenham.
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS:
- Last time out, Gonzaga began their Bay Area road swing with a matchup at Santa Clara as the Bulldogs also fell to the Broncos, 3-0, on Thursday, Nov. 11.
- Individually, former Don McKenna Marshall leads the Bulldogs with 228 total kills while teammate Kennedy Croft is close behind with 222 kills herself. Additionally, Croft holds the lead in service aces (30) while Viktoria Ivanova is first in digs with 223 and Cara McKenzie is first in blocks (57.0).
- Following their showdown with the Dons, the Bulldogs will return home for their final home match of the fall next Saturday, Nov. 20 when they welcome Portland. Gonzaga will wrap up their campaign with one final road test at Pepperdine on Nov. 23.
SERIES HISTORY:
- Since Oct. 2002, USF currently holds a 20-19 advantage over Gonzaga in the series between the two programs. However, the Bulldogs defeated the Dons in their meeting earlier this season on Oct. 14, with USF's last victory over Gonzaga coming in the shortened spring season on Mar. 20, 2021.
