- Opening the second half, Khalil Shabazz extended the score to 47-40 on a three-pointer of his own at 17:32.
- As the game moved along, the two teams continued to trade blows, with USF holding a 59-54 advantage at 10:02 after a layup from Josh Kunen. With just over five minutes remaining in regulation, Kunen then converted on a jumper in the paint to keep the Dons in front, 67-66.

- Following a free throw from Shabazz with 1:20 left in the game, the Dons remained within striking distance as they were down by just six, 81-75.

- Shabazz finished with his third 20+ point total of the season as the Seattle native tallied 20 points, three rebounds, two assists and one steal on 6-of-12 from the floor and a perfect 7-of-7 from the free-throw line.
- Offensively, Roberts and Zane Meeks each finished with 13 points apiece as both knocked down three triples each against the Wildcats.
- As a team, USF nailed eleven shots from behind-the-arc while limiting Davidson to just five made three pointers. Getting contributions from multiple sources, the Dons outscored the Wildcats, 31-20, off the bench. Displaying their depth each night, USF has outscored their opponent off the bench in all seven games so far this season.
