Dons Battle High Winds in Palm Springs

LA QUINTA, Calif. – Battling gusting winds and sand storms throughout their three rounds, the University of San Francisco men's golf team tied for eighteenth place at The Presitge in La Quinta this week, which was hosted by UC Davis at Greg Norman Course at PGA West.
TOURNAMENT RESULTS:
USF return home to San Francisco next week to practice and regroup before competing at the Wake Forest Invitational at Pinehurst No. 2 on Monday, March 7 and Tuesday, March 8. Live results of the tournament will be available via the team's schedule page.

TOURNAMENT RESULTS:
- Finishing as the highest ranked Don, Matthew Anderson placed tied for 21st overall with a three-round total of 9-over-222. Overall, this performance was the fourth time Anderson has finished inside the top 25 individually this year and the fifth time in six tournaments in which he has placed in the top 30.
- Twelve spots behind Anderson, Toby Briggs tied for 33rd overall with an 11-over-224.
- Rounding out the group, Soren Lind tied for 59th with a 15-over-228, Christoffer Palsson tied for 77th with a 17-over-230 and Alex Chin tied for 115th with a 27-over-240.
- Overall, only two individuals shot under par due to the unpredictable conditions: tournament winner Ludvig Aberg of Texas Tech (3-under-210) and runner up Carson Barry of Oregon State (1-under-212).
