DONS AT A GLANCE:
- USF returns to the home comforts of the Hilltop on Thursday evening after a 1-1 week that saw them fall short against #13 Stanford before responding with a 2-0 shutout victory on the road over UC Davis on Sunday afternoon.
- True freshman forward Lindsey Chau has emerged as a key cog in the Dons' offensive attack with two goals and four points through the season's first two weeks and is second among WCC freshmen in total goals this year.
- Junior goalkeeper Megan Nail had a tremendous bounce back performance in Davis when she led the way for USF's defense recording an impressive nine saves as she was able to secure her second clean sheet of the season.
- The Dons' offense has been in attack mode from the opening kick this season as they rank third in the WCC in total shots at 63 as they only trail unbeaten #14 Pepperdine and #6 BYU in that category.
SCOUTING THE GOLDEN BEARS:
- Leading the way for Cal this season has been senior forward Keely Roy who got her season off to a blazing start by scoring two goals against UC San Diego and is the Golden Bears leader in goals and points.
- In goal for the Golden Bears is senior Angelina Anderson who has done a great job of limiting opposing offenses by allowing just two goals through her team's first three matches and has recorded four saves so far this season.
- Sophomore forward Karlie Lema will also be someone the Dons will have to be on the lookout for as she recorded two assists in her team's win over Saint Mary's and is second on the Golden Bears in points.
- Thursday night's match will mark the second of four WCC teams that Cal will face this season as they've already defeated the Gaels and will face both Pepperdine and Santa Clara later this year.
