SPRINGFIELD, Missouri – After a first-place finish in South Dakota two weeks ago, the University of San Francisco triathlon team returns to action this weekend in Missouri for the NCAA West Regional Qualifier on Saturday morning.

DONS AT A GLANCE:
- In their last race, the Dons won the team title at the Black Hills Collegiate Cup as freshman Maite Kuestner secured her first collegiate win by finishing first overall individually (59:11). Notably, Kira Gupta Baltazar had the best performance in the water of the race with a time of 6:42.1. Additionally, Gillian Cridge recorded the fastest time on the bike with a mark of 30:47.6.
- In order to automatically qualify for the national championship next month, San Francisco will have to finish in the top three spots on the leaderboard.
- Following Saturday's race, the green and gold have two more races scheduled for the 2023 season – the Bearathlon next weekend in Berkeley and the USA Triathlon National Championship next month in Tempe, Arizona.
