STOCKTON, Calif. -- Finishing up the second to last road trip of the regular season, the USF Dons women's basketball team (16-10, 6-8) came up short on the road against the Pacific Tigers (12-14, 7-8) by a 67-51 final score Saturday afternoon at the Alex G. Spanos Center.
Ioanna Krimili had another big day leading her squad against the Tigers as she poured in 22 points on 9-of-20 from the field while coming away with five steals for her team.
Kennedy Dickie was a force on the glass as well for her team as she grabbed 15 rebounds in the loss to UOP.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:
- Both teams came out of the gates looking to score early as Krimili knocked down an early jumper for the game's first points and would score 12 of the Dons' first 14 points against the Tigers. UOP was able to knock down three long distance shots on Saturday to build a seven point lead before Jessica McDowell-White knocked down a late three point shot as the Tigers held a 24-19 lead at the end of the first quarter.
- Pacific began the second quarter with a run of their own to extend their lead to double digits before Aya Kéita scored a bucket on a running lay up to get the Dons a little closer at 32-21. The Dons had a strong late quarter response to get the score back within 10 as Kennedy Dickie scored five consecutive points to head into the locker room trailing 40-30.
- Looking to get a little closer, Loren Christie knocked down consecutive jumpers for USF to make the score 46-34 midway through the third quarter. As UOP continued to build their lead, Krimili continued to keep fighting to get her team closer as she scored consecutive baskets off of a pair of steals as Pacific held a 55-40 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
- The Tigers would remain in control of the game throughout the fourth quarter as USF was able to cut the deficit to 14 before UOP was able to pick up the 67-51 victory on their home floor on Saturday afternoon.
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES:
- Krimili put together yet another 20 point performance for her team as she scored 22 points on 9-for-20 from the field while also coming away with a season-high five steals, as well as three rebounds and a pair of assists against Pacific.
- Dickie had a tremendous game rebounding the ball for her team as she came away with 15 against Pacific while scoring eight points, blocking three shots and dishing out an assist.
- Off the bench, Loren Christie was able to score eight points and grab five rebounds while also swatting away three shots against UOP on Saturday.
- Playing the most minutes she has this season, Kéita scored two points and dished out a pair of assists for her team in her 20 minutes of action on the road.

UP NEXT:
The Dons now return home for their final two games of the season at War Memorial at the Sobrato Center as they will welcome the San Diego Toreros (15-10, 9-5) to the Hilltop on Thursday, Feb. 16 at 6:00 p.m. USF picked up the victory over the Toreros last time they faced off in San Diego as the Dons picked up the 69-56 victory at Jenny Craig Pavilion.
