FORT WORTH, Texas - The University of San Francisco triathlon team will begin their 2023 campaign when they compete in the Battle in the Fort in Fort Worth, Texas on Sunday morning.

DONS AT A GLANCE:
- Last winter, San Francisco finished fifth overall as a team at the 2022 USAT National Championship in Tempe, Ariz. Individually, Kira Gupta Baltazar finished in the top ten for the second straight year after finishing 10thoverall (01:05:51).
- Returning for another year in the green and gold, the Dons eight student-athletes return to campus this fall in addition to two new freshmen: Heidi Henry and Abigail Lotz.
- Looking ahead, this event will mark their first of two races in September for San Francisco. In October, the Dons will compete locally again for the second year in a row when they suit up for the Bearathlon (hosted by California) in Berkeley on Oct. 23.
