DONS AT A GLANCE:
  • Last time out on the pitch, San Francisco finished in a scoreless draw against Portland last Wednesday, Oct. 2 on the Hilltop. Despite the tie, freshman Sydney Harpster tallied a career-high and team-leading four shots in her first collegiate career start. In goal, Kira Ybarra logged her third shutout of the season against the Pilots and her first in WCC action.
  • Within conference play, Ybarra ranks in the top five among WCC goalkeepers in both shutouts (1/T-1st) and saves per game (4.00/5th).
  • Entering the new week, Kaitlyn Sasadeusz leads the charge offensively for the green and gold as the sophomore ranks second in the league in shots per game in WCC action (4.00).
SCOUTING THE BEAVERS:
  • Following a subpar performance in its nonconference slate (2-6), Oregon State has begun WCC play with a 2-0-1 record in its first season as an affiliate member of the West Coast Conference. The Beavers are one of three undefeated teams in the WCC in conference action heading into Wednesday night along with #10 Santa Clara and #15 Pepperdine, who are both 2-0 in league play.
  • Within WCC action, McKenna Martinez has excelled for the Beavers so far as the senior leads the league within conference play in both game-winning goals (one) and total shots on goal (six) along with tying for the second-most shots (10). Overall, Martinez leads the Beavers this season in points (six), shots (36), shots on goal (16) and game-winning goals (two).
  • As a squad in WCC play, Oregon State ranks in the top five in the conference in shots on goal per game (4th, 6.33), points per game (T-3rd, 5.67), goals per game (4th, 2.00), assists per game (T-3rd, 1.667) and saves per game (4th, 5.33).
SERIES HISTORY:
Heading into the first-ever West Coast Conference matchup between the two schools, Oregon State holds a 7-3 all-time series lead over San Francisco, including having won the last three meetings over the Dons. Most recently, OSU defeated USF, 1-0, on Aug. 17, 2023 in San Francisco. The green and gold are looking for their first victory over Oregon State in two decades, having last beaten the Beavers on Sept. 24, 2004. San Francisco is also seeking its first win in Corvallis in program history.
