SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Coming off a narrow victory to end the non-conference slate, the University of San Francisco women's basketball team (3-6) begins West Coast Conference play at home when it takes on Gonzaga (5-6) at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 19, at War Memorial at the Sobrato Center.

DONS AT A GLANCE:
- Debora dos Santos and Emma Trawally Porta guided San Francisco to a 67-64 win over Arizona State last Tuesday, recording a double-double apiece, as the team remained undefeated at home.
- Dos Santos led the team with a season-best 17-point, 14-rebound double-double, while Trawally Porta added 13 points and 12 rebounds in her first start of the campaign. The last time the Dons had two players record double-doubles in a game was on February 29, 2020, when Leilah Vigil (26 points, 10 assists) and Mikayla Williams (15 points, 13 rebounds) posted double-doubles at Saint Mary's.
- Freja Werth posted 16 points in a season-high 38 minutes while remaining perfect from the free-throw line, knocking down all seven of her attempts from the charity stripe. In nine games, Werth is 22-of-22 from the free throw line and is the lone player in the WCC with at least 20 attempts without a miss.
- Defensively, San Francisco held ASU to 32.4 percent shooting, the fourth-lowest shooting percentage for an opponent this season. The Sun Devils also shot 27.3 percent from the three-point line; the fourth time this season the Dons held an opponent to under 30 percent from distance.
- Overall, Werth continues to lead the team in scoring, averaging 14.1 points per game, the ninth-highest scoring average in the WCC at the end of non-conference play. Trawally Porta and dos Santos also guide the Dons offensively, posting 11.6 and 10.8 points per game, respectively.
- Trawally Porta and dos Santos lead the team and rank tied for third in the WCC in rebounding, averaging 7.3 boards per game.
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS:
- Gonzaga enters WCC action with a losing record for the first time since 2005-06. The Bulldogs, rounding out non-conference play at 5-6, struggled against high-end competitions, with losses to California, Stanford, Texas Tech, Florida State, and Colorado State.
- Yvonne Ejim leads the Zags in scoring and rebounding, averaging 19.8 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. Ejim has totaled seven 20-point scoring games while adding five double-doubles. Ejim, the two-time WCC Player of the Week, most recently scored a season-high 28 points in the Zags' 79-50 win over Eastern Washington on Saturday, Dec. 14.
- Allie Turner ranks second on the team in scoring, averaging 14.4 points per, and leads all true freshmen in the nation in three-pointers with 34. Overall, she ranks 12th in the country and first in the WCC in made three-pointers.
- Gonzaga ranks last in the WCC and 293rd in the nation in scoring defense, as opponents are averaging 71.2 points per game. In 11 games this season, the Bulldogs have allowed 70 or more points in a game four times, including a season-worst 89 at Stanford on November 10.
SERIES HISTORY:
Gonzaga has dominated the all-time series, winning 55 of the 81 games played since the first-ever meeting in the 1987-88 season. The Zags have won 17 straight contests dating back to the 2016-17 season, starting the stretch with a 77-46 win over the Dons in the WCC Tournament.
