RENO, Nev. – The University of San Francisco women's indoor track and field team opened the 2024-25 campaign at the Silver State Invitational & Multis, hosted by Nevada, on Thursday, Dec. 5 – Saturday, Dec. 7, at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:
- For San Francisco, six athletes participated in the season opener, highlighted by four making their first appearances for the program.
- Angie Mesa-Espinoza led the Dons in the 60-meter dash preliminaries, earning 15th place out of 59 competitors with a time of 7.74 seconds. Sophia Priester-Veasley, Eliana Valle, and Veronika Reed finished in 25th, 44th, and 52nd, respectively.
- Henriette Halwas, competing in two events, grabbed 32nd in the 200 meters at 25.83 while taking 11th in the long jump, compiling a mark of 5.58 meters.
- Emílie Chrastinová also made her first appearance for the Dons, earning a top-10 finish in the 600 meters, with a time of 1:43.22.

San Francisco returns to the Reno-Sparks Convention Center in the new year when it takes part in the Nevada Invitational & Multi on Thursday, Jan. 23 – Saturday, Jan. 25.
