Men's Golf Concludes East-Coast Swing at the General Hackler Championship

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Completing its East Coast trip at the General Hackler Championship, the University of San Francisco men's golf team earned an eighth-place finish with a 10-over-par 874 Wednesday afternoon at The Dunes Golf & Beach Club.

TOURNAMENT RESULTS:

Ben Partridge led the Dons throughout the tournament, ending the three-day event in a tie for third place with a six-under-par 210 (70-70-70). Earning his third top-five finish of the season, Partridge ranked tied for second among the field of 80 in birdies with 13.
Harry Brown climbed the player leaderboard in the final two days, shooting under par in the second and third rounds to finish in a tie for 15th at one-over-par 217 (76-71-70).
Having success on the second day of the tournament, Jakob Melin shot a one-under-par 71, his 16th under-par round of the season. Melin finished in a tie for 28th with a four-over-par 220 (74-71-75).
As a team, San Francisco ranked third in total birdies with 48 and shot an astounding 15-under-par on Par 5's.
