LAKE SISKIYOU, Calif. - Returning to racing to begin the new year, the University of San Francisco triathlon team kicks off their 2024 schedule with the Mt. Shasta Tinman in Lake Siskiyou on Sunday morning.

DONS AT A GLANCE:
- Last season, San Francisco finished third overall at the USA Triathlon National Championships in Tempe, Ariz. on Nov. 11, 2023. Individually, Kira Gupta Baltazar (6th) and Maite Kuestner (8th) each finished in the top ten.
- This year, the Dons return Kuestner, Molly Elliott, Noga Gottlieb, Heidi Henry and Abigail Lotz in addition to bringing in newcomers Kieren Berg, Maisie Gibbins, Sara Kos, Nanette Nikolajsen, Josi Seerig and Ava Smith.
- Looking ahead, the green and gold will race locally again this year as USF is set to compete in the Bearathlon (hosted by California) on Sunday, Oct. 27 in Berekeley, Calif.
