San Francisco Continues Season at Battle In the Fort

FORT WORTH, Texas - Heading back to Texas for the second straight year, the University of San Francisco triathlon team will aim to continue their early momentum as the Dons are set to suit up for the Battle in the Fort on Sunday morning.

DONS AT A GLANCE:

In their last time out, San Francisco dominated in their first race of the season as the Dons finished first overall (192 points) at the Mt. Shasta Tinman in Lake Siskiyou, Calif. on Sept. 1. Notably, seven of the eight Dons who competed finished in the top ten individually - Maite Kuestner (1), Molly Elliott (2), Kieren Berg (4), Maisie Gibbins (5), Ava Smith (6), Nanette Nikolajsen (7) and Abigail Lotz (8).
Last year, the Dons finished third overall (135 points) in the Battle in the Fort behind host TCU (170 points) and Arizona State (168 points). Overall, Heidi Henry (1:11:19) finished 19^th individually while Abigail Lotz finished 38^th (1:18:33).
Closing out the month of September, this race will mark the second event of the fall for the green and gold as the Dons will prepare for the East Regional Championships on Oct. 12 in Troutman, N.C.
