SEATTLE, Wash. – The University of San Francisco women's indoor track and field team continued its season at the UW Invitational, hosted by Washington, this past weekend at Dempsey Indoor.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:
- Active in multiple events, Henriette Halwas posted a fourth-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles finals with a time of 8.82. Halwas' preliminary time of 8.79 set a new program record as she placed first in her heat. She also participated in the long jump, placing fifth out of 29 competitors, with a mark of 5.70 meters.
- In the 800 meters, Vasileia Spyrou placed 26th out of 62 at 2:14.01. Christine Albrecht, Kaylee Noda, Marlee Kwasnica, Katelyn Vuong, and Kennedy Bartee also participated in the event.
- Spyrou also excelled in the mile, placing third in her section before taking 41st overall with a time of 4:49.91. She nearly broke her personal best of 4:45.29 set at the Razorback Invitational in 2023 while competing at Florida.
UP NEXT:
San Francisco returns to action on Friday, Feb. 7, when it travels to Reno to compete in the Wolf Pack Classic at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center.
