Shang Secures Second-Place Individual Finish at The Silicon Valley Showcase

MILLBRAE, Calif. – The University of San Francisco women's golf team concluded The Silicon Valley Showcase, hosted by Santa Clara, Tuesday afternoon and earned a third-place finish with a 17-over par (294-288-287) at Green Hills Country Club.

TOURNAMENT RESULTS:

Earning her best finish of the 2024-25 season, Yvonne Shang secured a second-place individual finish with a four-under-par 209 (72-67-70). Shooting a 67 in the second round, she totaled her second-best round of the season, coming one stroke short of her 67 in the first round of The Clash at Boulder Creek on October 20, 2024. Along with Pepperdine's Eunseo Choi and Jeneath Wong, Shang totaled 12 birdies throughout the two-day event, ranking her tied for first in the 51-player field.
Riana Mission and Eva Pett tied for 11th place, shooting a three-over-par 216. Pett climbed the player leaderboard in the final round, rising seven spots while shooting a one-under-par 70. The mission was steady throughout the tournament, shooting in the low 70's during the three rounds.

San Francisco returns to the Bay when it hosts the Olympic Club Invitational on Monday, Mar. 31 – Tuesday, Apr. 1 at the Olympic Club.
