SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – For the first time in her career, Eva Pett of the University of San Francisco women's golf team has been selected as an individual qualifier for the Stanford Regional at the 2026 NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championship.
"I am absolutely thrilled for Eva to earn an at-large bid to the NCAA regional at Stanford," Head Coach Sara Doell said. "She is a hard-working, selfless, and strong player who has improved every year since she's been here on the Hilltop. I'm excited for her to complete her senior season with the opportunity to go to the NCAA Championships."
Pett, who is slotted as the fifth-ranked individual in the Stanford Regional, will join five other individuals on Monday, May 11 - Wednesday, May 13 at Stanford Golf Course. The 12-team region features Stanford, Pepperdine, Vanderbilt, Arizona State, Missouri, Arizona, Cal State Fullerton, Illinois, Oregon State, Cal Poly, South Dakota State, and Navy.
Pett makes her first appearance on the national stage following an impressive 2025-26 season. Appearing in all 10 tournaments throughout the campaign, Pett paced the team with a 72.8 scoring average, five top-10 finishes, seven sub-70 rounds, and a team-high 84 birdies.
She also earned the second individual title of her career at The Causeway Invitational on February 24. Pett paced San Francisco throughout the two-day event, recording a season-low seven-under par 209 (73-67-69). Following a 73 in the first round of the tournament, Pett posted back-to-back sub-70 rounds, including a five-under-par 67 in round two. Pett was also one of five participants to record double-digit birdies as she totaled 10 throughout the three rounds.
The top five teams and top individual not on an advancing team will advance from each regional to the national championship at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif., on Friday, May 22 - Wednesday, May 27, the third time in the last five years the men's and women's championships will be held at Omni La Costa.
