The 1983 golf team enjoyed a successful year and won the West Coast Athletic Conference championship. The two-time defending league champions guided by Head Coach Dick Nicolopolus represented USF in many golf tournaments throughout the year. The team travelled extensively, including a trip to play in Hawaii.
The West Coast Athletic Conference championship was held at both Lake Merced Country Club and Half Moon Bay Golf Links. The Dons won the team competition with a combined score of 965. Team Captain George Price won the WCC individual title with a score of 12 over par, 228 for the three day event.
