USF women’s golf has established itself as one of the top programs on the West Coast, advancing to a record five straight NCAA Regionals from 2001-05. This unparalleled record in USF women’s sports history started when the Dons captured the 2001 West Coast Conference Championship with an upset of No. 11 Pepperdine. The Waves were the three-time defending WCC champion.
Three golfers – senior Emilie Arnaud and juniors Lisa Chen and Susie Lang – earned All-WCC tournament honors with Arnaud capturing individual medalist honors in the title match. As a result, USF qualified for the program’s first ever appearance in an NCAA Regional. The Dons were placed in the 2001 NCAA Central Regional hosted by Purdue University at the Kampen Course.
Did You Know? Senior golfer Natalie Nakamura was presented the prestigious Anne Dolan Award as the University of San Francisco's top female student-athlete. Nakamura was selected as the top athlete on the basis of performance, academics, and university and community service. She was the first USF golfer to win the Dolan Award.
