Juli Christopher Hilton was born in San Jose, CA and played tennis and basketball at her local Saratoga High School. She began playing golf in college and played college tournaments first at USC, and then at USF. She stayed amateur for two years, and turned professional in 1995. That same year, she started as a teacher in the off-season. She graduated from USF in 1993 with a Bachelor’s in Sports Administration.
In 2004, she qualified for the LPGA tour, playing in 25 events that year including the U.S. Open. After touring, she joined the teaching team at the Morgan Creek Golf and Country Club in Roseville, CA. She later became the Director of Golf there. It was a 546-acre planned community in south Placer County, designed as its owners say, to "become one of the finest golf courses and luxury home communities in Northern California (Sacramento Business Journal)."
