Live Video: None (the match was scheduled to be streamed live on the Mountain West Network, but the stream was cancelled due to technical issues)SAN FRANCISCO - The Dons are coming off a productive road trip to Michigan where they battled Michigan State to a 1-1 draw this past Friday and shutout Oakland 2-0 on Sunday.
Amanda Whittle tallied her second goal of the season when she scored an unassisted goal in the 11th minute against Michigan State. Whittle's goal held up as the only score until the Spartans evened it up with a goal in the 74th minute that forced overtime and eventually resulted in the 1-1 draw.
Against Oakland,
Samantha Jehnings lifted the Dons to their sixth clean sheet in eight matches as she scored in the seventh minute and later offered up an assist with
Sonja Giraud's goal in the 47th minute.

GAME NOTES
OFF ON THE RIGHT FOOT
The Dons' 5-1-2 mark so far this season is the best start since the 2002 Dons went 6-1-1 in their first eight contests.
ONE FOR THE AGES
Senior Madalyn Schiffel became the USF career leader in shutouts in goal with the Dons' 2-0 win at Oakland this past Sunday. Schiffel surpassed Amy Voiland (1994-98) with her 22nd-career shutout.
PUTTING UP ZEROS
The Dons' 2-0 shutout at Oakland this past Sunday gave USF their sixth clean sheet of the year. The last time USF started a season with such a stingy defense was in 2009 when the Dons also opened the year with six shutouts in their first eight contests.
EARLY AND OFTEN
USF has outscored opponents 12-3 so far this season, including an 8-1 advantage in first-half scoring. The Dons are also outshooting opponents 115-94.
SPREAD THE WEALTH
USF's 12 goals so far this season have been scored by nine different players. Sonja Giraud (3) and Amanda Whittle (2) are the only Dons with multiple goals so far.
PILE IT ON
When USF defeated Denver 4-0 on Sept. 4, the Dons enjoyed their highest single-game goal total since a 4-1 win over Sacramento State on Aug. 31, 2013.

?The Dons are 6-2-3 against Mountain West opponents over the past five seasons.
MAKING IT COUNT
Head coach Jim Millinder inserted sophomore Camille Wilson into the starting lineup for USF's match at Oregon on Aug. 28, and Wilson didn't waste any time rewarding the decision by notching the game winner in the fourth minute of play. It was just Wilson's fourth-career start, but her second-career goal and first game winner.
BACK IN THE MIX
The Dons bring back five All-WCC performers from 2014. Leading the way is junior Jessica Nakae (3 goals/3 assists), who became the first Don to earn first team All-WCC honors since 1997. Senior goalkeeper Madalyn Schiffel (1.25 GAA) was a second team selection, while junior Amanda Whittle was named honorable mention and sophomore Sonja Giraud earned a spot on the all-freshman team.
TELSON TAKES GOLD
Sr. F Sydnie Telson enjoyed a summer in Berlin, Germany where she helped the U.S. team win gold at the 2015 Maccabi Games, a major international multi-sport event held every four years. Telson started all four matches and contributed three assists as the U.S. team went 4-0, including a 2-0 victory over Sweden in the gold medal game.
