Opening Tip
USF (4-1, 0-0 WCC) returns to action on Wednesday when the Dons play host to Alcorn State (2-3, 0-0 SWAC) in a non-conference game in War Memorial at the Sobrato Center. The Dons are coming off their first loss of the season Sunday night when they dropped a 96-90 decision at Eastern Washington. The Braves are 2-3 on the season after Monday night's 80-58 setback at Colorado State. Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m.

The Start 
USF is off to a 4-1 start for the firist time since the 2012-13 season when the team got out of the gates with a 5-1 record. The Dons 4-0 start was their best since the 1986-87 season when Jim Brovelli's Dons opened the year with wins over St. Thomas (Minn.), Nevada, Pacific and California.

RBIII 
Five games into the season, senior Ronnie Boyce III is averaging 23.4 points per game, which leads the WCC.He has scored 20 or more points in four of the first five games, including a season-high 31 point effort at UC Santa Barbara. Boyce The lone senior on the Dons' roster, Boyce now has 10, 20-point games in his career. He also ranks in the WCC's top-10 in rebounding (8th; 6.6) and field goal percentage (10th; 55.3).

The Scoreboard 
The Dons scored a season-high 90 points at Eastern Washington and now rank fifth in the WCC in scoring average at 80.6. USF has scored no fewer than 75 points in any of its five games this season.

The Dons have shot 50 percent or better from the field in each of the last three games and rank second in the WCC in field goal percentage at 51.1 percent. USF is shooting 53.7 (86-for-160) from the field over the last three contests. USF shot 50 percent of better from the field in six games last season.

From Distance 
The Dons are 41-for-81 (50.2) from distance over the last three games and lead the WCC in three-point field goal percentage (42.9) and three-pointers made per game (11.4). USF made a school-record 18 three-pointers in a loss to Eastern Washington on Sunday, with seven different players connecting on long distance shots. Freshman Jordan Ratinho ranks third in the WCC in three-point field goal percentage at 57.9 (11-for-19) and ranks fifth in threes made per game (2.8).
 
The Dons Bench 
USF's reserves have outscored the opponent 123-77 over the last four games (33-7 at UCSB; 24-13 vs. Troy; 31-23 vs. Sacramento State; 35-34 at EWU) after being outscored, 28-21 in the season-opener against Illinois-Chicago. Freshman Jordan Ratinho has come off the bench to average 10.8 points a game in his four games.

A Look at Alcorn State
Stand 2-3 on the season following Monday night's 80-58 loss at Colorado State…senior Denzel Dulin scored a team-high 20 points in the loss to the Rams while Reginal Johnson added 14 off the bench…Marquis Vance leads the Braves in scoring at 14.2 ppg while Johnson ranks second on the team with a 12.0 per game average…averaging 67.4 points per game and shooting 41 percent from the field…finished 15-15 overall last season and were 13-5 in the SWAC…return six letterwinners and one starter off of last year's squad…under the direction of second-year head coach Montez Robinson…inherited a program that went 6-26 (4-14 SWAC) in 2014-15 and immediately turned the Braves into a force in the SWAC…Alcorn's turnaround last season made Robinson a finalist for the Ben Jobe and the Joe B. Hall National Coach of the Year awards.

Wednesday night marks the first ever meeting between USF and Alcorn State.

Last Time Out: EWU 96, USF 90 
USF made a school-record 18 three-pointers but dropped a 96-90 decision at Eastern Washington on Sunday night. Ronnie Boyce scored a team-high 27 points for the Dons while Jordan Ratinho added 17 to lead four players in double figures. Bogdan Bliznyuk scored a career-high 32 points for the Eagles. The Dons hit their first six three-point attempts and built as much as a 15 point lead in the first half before taking a 46-39 lead at intermission. The Eagles first tied the game at 52-52 with 14:08 left in the game and took their first lead with 4:09 remaining at 78-75. Eastern Washington made its last eight shots from the floor and fended off the Dons at the line en route to the six point victory. USF shot 54.7 percent from the floor, including 58.1 (18-for-31) from three-point range and were plus-five in the rebound column. Seven different Dons made at least one three-pointer.

Parking Information
Parking is available free of charge two hours prior to tip-off until one hour after the conclusion of the game in any campus lot, with the exception of designated green parking spots and the top of Hayes-Healy garage on Golden Gate Avenue adjacent to the gymnasium.
 
The Hilltop Club Level
Fans 21 and older can enjoy beverages and catered food options before and during designated games during the season in the Hilltop Club Level. Located in the upper mezzanine level on the south side of War Memorial at The Sobrato Center, The Hilltop Club Level will open one hour before tipoff and will remain accessible throughout the game. Beer, wine, soft drinks and catered food options will be available to all fans 21 years of age and older. Admission to the The Hilltop Club is priced at $10 per game. Food and drink options are extra. The cost does not include a game ticket.
