Complete USF Game Notes (PDF)Opening TipUSF (11-10, 5-6 WCC) steps out of WCC play on Tuesday night when the Dons host the NAIA Menlo Oaks (9-13, 3-6 GSAC) beginning at 7:00 p.m. on the Hilltop. USF split a pair of road games last week, defeating Portland, 87-76 before falling at Gonzaga, 86-48 on Saturday. The Oaks are coming off an impressive, 66-61 victory over No. 10 Arizona Christian on Saturday in Atherton.
Series History with MenloUSF and Menlo have met just one time, with the Dons scoring a 66-36 victory on Dec. 17, 2011 on the Hilltop. The teams were tied 20-20 at halftime but the Dons used a 25-5 run to start the second period to pull away from the Oaks. Perris Blackwell had 19 points and 13 rebounds while Angelo Caloiaro, Jay Wey and Michael Williams had seven each. USF won the game despite shooting just 35 percent from the floor on the evening
USF at a Glance- Now 11-10 overall and 5-6 in the WCC after splitting a pair of games at Portland (W, 87-76) and Gonzaga (L, 86-48) last weekend.

- Have trailed at halftime in 15 of its 21 games this season and are 6-9 in those contests...are being outscored 789-685 and shooting 40.7 in the first half compared to the second when the Dons are outscoring the opponent 877-800 and shooting 47.0 percent from the floor after intermission.
- Sophomore point guard Devin Watson ranks third in the WCC and 35th nationally in scoring average at 19.6 ppg..he has been in double-figures in 20 of 21 games this season including 11 games of at least 20-points...he also is the seventh-highest scoring sophomore in the nation.
- Senior guard Tim Derksen is averaging 14.8 ppg and 6.1 boards a game...he ranks 11th in the WCC in scoring and 10th in rebounding.
- The duo of Watson and Derksen is averaging 34.3 ppg (722 total) and account for 45.0 percent of USF's season point total (722 of 1586)...they are the second-highest scoring tandem in the WCC behind Kyle Wiltjer-Domantas Sabonis (860; 39.0) of Gonzaga.
- Junior Ronnie Boyce has scored in double figures in nine of 11 WCC games and is averaging 15.6 ppg in conference play.
- With 123 wins in seven-plus seasons on the Hilltop, Rex Walters is ranks fifth on USF's all-time career win list among coaches...he has coached 245 games, which ranks third all-time behind only Jim Brovelli (286) and Phil Mathews (262).
