Box Score STANFORD, Calif. – The University of San Francisco women's soccer team lost, 8-0, to No.2 ranked Stanford in a non-conference matchup on Friday evening at Laird Q. Cagan Stadium.
Stanford (5-1-0), who came into the game having scored 22 goals in five matches, showcased their offensive firepower quickly and often. The Cardinal got on the board in the fourth minute on a Kyra Carusa goal and scored five more goals in the next 21 minutes to go up 6-0 at the intermission.
USF (2-4-1) battled and allowed two goals to the Cardinal in the second half.
Freshman Sydney Cooper made her Dons debut logging 12 minutes on the pitch.
Goalkeeper Olivia Camera was credited with a career-high 13 saves.
The Dons next game is scheduled for Friday, September 15 against Big 12 conference's Oklahoma State at Negoesco Stadium.
