TOMORROW'S GAME
Head coach Molly Goodenbour will coach her 50th game at the helm of the the University of San Francisco women's basketball program as the Dons travel to Malibu, Calif. to take on Pepperdine (6-11, 2-5).
The Dons (9-9, 4-3) are trying to win back-to-back games this week after a great win in the South Bay against rival Santa Clara. As the mid-point of the season is coming up, the Dons are tied with San Diego for fourth place, while the Waves are seated in eighth place. The Malibu team is on a 0-5 skid and Coach Goodenbour's team will look to extend that.
No matter how the contest turns out, Coach Goodenbour will officially become the most winningest coach in USF history through 50 games. If the Dons win, her record will be 28-22. If the Dons lose, her record will be 27-23. Either outcome, the title will stick for the second-year USF coach.
THE SERIES
USF leads the all-time series 39-36. The Dons have won three of the last four and eight of the last 10.
UP NEXT
USF is rounding out their four-game road trip. Their last game of the trip on the road is against Pacific (Jan. 25) next Thursday in Stockton, Calif. The next home game will be against the still-unbeaten Gonzaga on Jan. 27. Tickets are available here.
