The University of San Francisco men's basketball team fresh off a dominating road win over UC Davis will make its 2018-19 home debut on Saturday when it hosts American East foe Maine at 2:00 p.m. Saturday's game will be streamed on TheW.tv with
Pat Olson and Jim Brovelli calling the action live courtside. You can also tune into 1550-AM The GAME the official home of USF Dons basketball for the radio broadcast of the game. The first 500 fans to Saturday's game will get a free USF Rally Towel.

USF AT A GLANCE
- The Dons will make their home debut on Saturday when they host American East foe Maine. It is the second time the teams have faced each other, with the Dons owning a 1-0 advantage.
- USF is 1-0 after defeating host UC Davis 76-42 on Tuesday at The Pavilion. The 34 point margin of victory is the largest road season opener margin of victory in USF history.
- Charles Minlend made his return to the Dons lineup after redshirting last season against the Aggies on Tuesday. Minlend led the Dons with a game-high 16 points.
- In the win over the Aggies, USF finished the night with 50 of their 76 points in the paint. The 50 points in the paint are the most scored by the Dons under head coach Kyle Smith.
- With the win over the Aggies, the Dons moved up 34 spots in the KenPom rankings, the road win over UC Davis is the early front runner for the best win of the season for any WCC team so far.
- The Dons unveiled a new starting five on Tuesday, USF went with Ratinho, Minlend, Frankie Ferrari, Nate Renfro and Jimbo Lull. No starter played 30 minutes and USF emptied the bench with 12 players seeing the floor.
- USF is set to participate in the Second Annual Basketball Hall of Fame Belfast Classic in Northern Ireland. The Dons game against Stephen F. Austin in Northern Ireland will be on BBC Sport NI Online, showcasing the Dons across the UK and the United States. The Dons game on Dec. 1 will be televised on CBS Sports Network, giving the Dons their sixth nationally televised game.

THE SERIES
Saturday's contest is the second time the Dons and Black Bears have squared off. The two teams first faced each other on Saturday, January 9, 1993 when the Dons handed Maine a 70-68 loss at War Memorial at the Sobrato Center.
ABOUT THE BLACK BEARS
The Black Bears are 0-2 to start the season losing to host Denver 60-53 to open the year and to Utah 75-61 on Thursday. Maine is under the leadership of Richard Barron, who was named the 22nd head coach of the men's basketball team, he previously served as the women's basketball head coach at Maine. The Black Bears were picked to finish seventh in the American East preseason coaches' poll. Maine's seventh place predicted finish is the highest for the Black Bears since Maine was picked to finish fifth in the 2012-13 poll. Redshirt junior guard Isaiah Wright leads the team, averaging 16.5 points per contest.
LAST GAME AGAINST THE BLACK BEARS
The last, and only time these two teams squared off was on Saturday, January 9, 1993 when USF defeated the Black Bears 70-68 at War Memorial Gym. USF, coached by Hall of Famer Jim Brovelli, came back in the game after trailing at the half 35-30. Dons senior guard Thomas Thompson scored 28 to lead all scorers, he was one of four Dons to finish in double figures that game. Guard Orlando Smart missed a double-double by one assist, finishing with 10 points and nine assists.

The Dons will return to action on Monday, Nov. 12 when they host Sonoma State at 7:00 p.m. The Dons are in the middle of a season-long six game homestand.
