Dons Travel to Arizona for Wyoming Cowgirl Classic

SAN FRANCISCO – The University of San Francisco women's golf team looks to continue its fantastic spring season when the Dons travel to Maricopa, Ariz., for the 12th Annual Wyoming Cowgirl Classic held at the AK-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club.

The 6,131-yard, par 72 Southern Dunes golf course will be home to 20 total teams on Monday and Tuesday. Wyoming, Boise State, Cal State Northridge, Eastern Washington, Gonzaga, Montana, Montana State and Nevada will travel to Southern Dunes. Additionally, New Mexico State, Northern Arizona, Portland State, Rutgers, Sam Houston State, Santa Clara, Seattle, Southern Utah, Sacramento State, UT Arlington and UTEP will also take part in the event.
The Dons will continue to go with the lineup that has produced back-to-back second place finishes. The Dons' senior trio of Vanessa Ha, Emily Laskin and Kimberly Liu. Joining those three will be sophomore Samantha Gong and freshman Joan Soewondo.
Ha is coming off a tournament championship at the Sacramento State Invitational. Laskin captured her first career top-10 finish at the same tournament.
