WHAT'S THE STORY
• After a hot start, USF sits at 8-4-2 overall. With one more win, the Dons will have won at least nine games for just the fourth time since 2001. Under head coach Jim Millinder, the Dons have won at least seven games in all but one season.  USF is currently on pace to match the Dons' historic 13-4-3 finish in 2015, which was the winningest season in program history.

• Last time out, the Dons earned a point on the road, drawing with Gonzaga 3-3 in Luger Field.  Gonzaga scored first and the Dons went on to score three unanswered goals, the third coming early in the second half.  A penalty kick by the Bulldogs and a late goal in the second half tied the game up at three, forcing an overtime in which neither side could secure the golden goal, so settled on a tie.

• Roy Gets Some Recognition:  USF's freshman midfielder, Keely Roy, got some love this week.  The native of Sebastopol, Calif., was named to the Top Drawer Soccer Midseason Freshmen List.  Roy, who has four goals - three in conference play - was named 84th on the list. She is one of six freshmen from the WCC to be named to the list.

• Home/Road/Somewhere In Between: with the Dons' tie at Gonzaga last weekend, USF improved to 4-1-1 in true road games. In neutral site games they are 1-1-0, and at home this season, USF is 3-2-1.  The Dons' 5-2-1 record away from Negoesco stadium is the second best under Millinder. USF's 7-2-1 mark in 2015 is the best away-record under the Dons' eighth year head coach.

• Striking First: Saturday's draw at Gonzaga was just the fourth time this season an opponent scored first against the Dons. With the tie, USF improved to 0-2-2. The two ties have come in the last two matches in which the opponent scored first, both coming in 3-3 ties.  When the Dons score first they are 8-1-0 on the year.

• In the Net:  Senior keeper Olivia Camera continues to do a masterful job in the net for the Dons.  Her eight wins matches a career-best.  In the tie at Gonzaga, Camera tallied seven saves – six coming after the intermission and three coming in overtime. For the year, Camera leads the WCC with 59 saves, and her 4.21 saves per game also ranks tops in the conference.

• Jehnings In Historic Company:  Senior forward Samantha Jehnings recorded her 32nd career goal in the Dons' tie at Gonzaga.  She is one goal shy of tying Kelli Bryant (1992-96) for second all-time. Jehings' also boasts 11 career game-winning goals. With one more, she'll tie Bryant for the USF record of 12.

SATURDAY'S CONTEST
Pacific enters Saturday's contest with a 3-10-0 mark and are 0-3-0 in the WCC.  The Tigers have lost five in a row, going 1-5 at Knowles Field.  As a team, the Tigers have scored nine goals on the year and average 0.69 goals per game which ranks last in the WCC.  Leading the team in scoring is Kelsey Oen, who has two goals on the year.  In goal, the Tigers have leaned primarily on freshman Weronika Baranowska who has played in nine matches, making six starts. In 641 minutes she has allowed 21 goals and sports a goals against average of 2.94.

SERIES HISTORY
All-time the Dons are 14-5-2 against Pacific, in a series that dates back to Oct. 19, 1990.  The Dons won the first nine games of the series.  Last time out, USF defeated the Tigers 4-1 at Negoesco Stadium on Oct. 14, 2018. In that contest, Ashley Humphrey scored a pair of goals, her first career multi-goal game.
