SAN FRANCISCO —Tuesday's originally scheduled road baseball game for the University of San Francisco baseball team at San Jose State has now been shifted to San Francisco, with the game time changing to 2 p.m. and the location now at USF's Benedetti Diamond for the non-conference Bay Area clash.
Â
The game was originally scheduled for a 5:30 p.m. start Tuesday at San Jose State's Municipal Stadium – also home to the San Francisco Giants' A-Advanced minor league club, the San Jose Giants. With rain in the forecast for most of the day Tuesday, the game was moved to Benedetti Diamond's all-weather field turf and away from Municipal Stadium's natural surface.
Â
Tuesday's game at Benedetti Diamond will not be a ticketed event. The event will be free and open to the public. Tuesday's game kicks off what was already going to be a four-game weekend home stand for USF a game early. The Dons will now play eight of their next nine games at Benedetti Diamond.
