Women's Soccer Comes Up Short at Gonzaga

SPOKANE, Wash. -- In their final regular season road match of the season, the USF Dons women's soccer team (6-9-2, 2-6) fell to the Gonzaga Bulldogs (14-5, 4-4) 2-0 at Luger Field on Wednesday night.

"It was a tough match tonight against a good Gonzaga team. We need to close our season on a high note for our night Saturday against USD."
UP NEXT:
USF will now return home for the season finale Saturday night at home against the San Diego Toreros (6-10-1, 1-6-1) at 7 p.m. at Negoesco Stadium. USD enters the matchup winless in their last four contests.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:
- The first half was a defensive struggle with both teams struggling to create offense.
- Gonzaga was able to get on the board with their first goal of the night during the 51 minute mark as Erin Healy scored off an assist from Isabelle Moultray.
- The Bulldogs were able to add a goal seven minutes later in what ended up as a 2-0 final score.
- Goalkeeper Megan Nail had four saves on the night in her second collegiate start in goal.
- Kaylin Lunsford led the Dons' with three shots during the match as USF totaled five shots altogether.
