SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -- Following their first win on WCC play on Sunday afternoon, the USF Dons baseball team (12-10, 1-2) will host the Nevada Wolfpack (9-8, 5-3) on Tuesday afternoon for their final home game in the month of March.
USF dropped two of three over the weekend at home against the Broncos as they get back to non-conference play, while Nevada just dropped two of three on the road over the weekend against Fresno State who the Dons defeated earlier this season.

BACK IN THE WIN COLUMN:
- The Dons came to work in the series finale against Santa Clara as they played a complete game leading to the 9-0 shutout for their first conference win.
- Right-handed pitcher Jesse Barron was in the zone throughout Sunday's outing as he tossed five scoreless innings without walking a batter and striking out six Bronco hitters. Barron has now thrown eleven consecutive scoreless innings of work dating back to his start against Missouri in Phoenix.
- Leading the USF offense has been the steady brilliance of sophomore infielder Luke Keaschall who has hit an astounding .337 with a pair of home runs and 12 RBI as he's had at least two hits in three of the Dons' last four games. Keaschall is also leading both USF and the West Coast Conference with 28 hits and15 stoles bases so far this season.Â
- Nevada leads the all-time series between the two schools nine to eight and have won four in a row against the Dons.
SCOUTING THE WOLFPACK:
- Nevada has accumulated a 9-8 overall record so far this season and have gone 5-3 through eight games of conference play in the Mountain West.
- Leading the Wolfpack's offense this season has been the strong play of redshirt senior infielder Josh Zamora who has hit .385 this season with seven home runs and 21 RBI hitting in the middle of the order and playing in the middle of the diamond at either second base or shortstop.
- For Tuesday's game Nevada will send right-handed pitcher Alejandro Murillo to the mound as he will be making his fifth appearance and fourth start of the season to mixed results so far as opponents have hit at a .400 clip against the Wolfpack right hander this season in 9 1/3 innings pitched.Â
