PORTLAND, Ore. -- It took longer than usual, but the USF Dons baseball team (14-11, 3-2) put together an impressive come-from-behind victory to defeat the Portland Pilots (15-7, 2-3) 4-3 in 14 innings at Joe Etzel Field to pick up their first conference series win of the season.
Infielder
Mario DeMera was phenomenal in the batter's box as he reached base six times with four hits and two walks, including the go-ahead hit in the fourteenth inning to put USF ahead for good. Pitching the final 13 frames, the Dons bullpen couldn't have been better as they allowed no runs in 13 innings as they came up clutch numerous times to stamp out potential Pilot rallies.

- Both sides traded scoreless frames for the next five innings as neither side was able to decide a winner. DeMera stepped up with a base hit up the middle that scored Keaschall and put the Dons ahead in the 14th.

- DeMera was the offensive star throughout as he went 2-for-4 with two walks, a triple and two RBI including the go-ahead run in the 14th inning.
- Williams III went 2-for-7 at the plate as he drove in the tying run in the eighth inning.
