SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Set for their first two-match week of the season, the University of San Francisco women's soccer team (4-6-3, 1-1-1 WCC) returns to action against No. 13 Santa Clara (10-2-2, 3-0-0 WCC) on Wednesday at Stevens Stadium before returning home to host San Diego (1-11-2, 0-3-1 WCC) on Saturday night at Negoesco Stadium.

DONS AT A GLANCE:
- San Francisco is coming off a tight match against LMU (6-6-2, 0-1-2 WCC) at home where the Dons and Lions each scored as the two teams finished in a 1-1 draw after the full 90 minutes. After not suiting up the week prior, Marissa Vasquez found the back of the net for the fourth time this season as the midfielder delivered a strike in the 14th minute against LMU.
- Within the conference, Vasquez remains in the top five in the WCC in both shots on goal (22, tied for third) and total shots (24, tied for fourth) through 12 matches this fall.
- Earlier this year, USF took down Santa Clara for the second time in three years on their home turf, but the Dons are still searching for their first-ever win on the road at Stevens Stadium this week.
SCOUTING THE BRONCOS:
- Last time out, Santa Clara got the job done on the road as the Broncos downed Pacific, 5-1, in Stockton last Saturday, Oct. 14. Following her two fgoals against the Tigers, Farrah Walters was tabbed WCC Player of the Week this Monday.
- As a team, SCU has been dominant the last few years as the Broncos have won three straight conference championships, which has included a 31-4-4 record against WCC opponents.
- Individually, Walters currently leads the WCC with ten goals this season, which includes two game-winning goals. Notably, Sally Menti has also been a threat offensively as she is currently second in the conference in assists (5).
SCOUTING THE TOREROS:
- In their last time on the pitch, San Diego fell on the road, 4-0, at Portland, on Saturday, Oct. 18.
- Offensively, Lexi Zandonella-Arasa leads the Toreros with five points and 12 shots with half of those shots on goal.
- Similar to San Francisco, San Diego faced off against UC Riverside and California earlier this season as USD finished in a scoreless draw against UCR on Aug. 19 before falling to California, 2-1, on Sept. 17.
SERIES HISTORY:
- Dating back to 1985, San Francisco and Santa Clara have faced off 42 times with the Broncos leading in the head-to-head series 38-3-1. Despite the lead, the Dons gave taken down SCU twice in the last three seasons, including a 3-0 shutout win on the Hilltop on Sept. 21.
- Since 1992, the Dons and Toreros have faced off a total of 33 times with San Diego leading the series 21-1-8. Recently, the green and gold are 4-2-1 against USF across their last seven matchups, including a 3-0 shutout win in their last meeting at Negoesco Stadium on Nov. 6, 2021.
