Four Earn All-Conference Honors as Dons Compete in WCC Championships

MALIBU, Calif. – The University of San Francisco men's and women's cross country teams impressed, beginning postseason play with top team finishes in the West Coast Conference Championships Saturday morning at Alumni Park.
The women's program earned a fourth-place team finish with 108 points, while the men posted 122 points and grabbed fifth. Portland took home the team title on the women's side, while Gonzaga earned first place on the men's side.
Earning her second straight top-10 finish, Yasmine Abbes led the Dons as she completed the race in sixth place with a time of 21:35.7. Abbes, competing in her first season with the team, earned WCC First Team All-Conference honors after finishing in the top 10 out of 82 competitors.
Nátalie Hluší, recording her second fastest 6k of the season, earned WCC Second Team All-Conference as she crossed the finish line in 11th place with a time of 22:00.0.
On the men's side, Jacob Cann and Ed Buck once again propelled the Dons as the dup earned top-10 finishes for the second consecutive meet. Cann and Buck earned WCC First Team All-Conference honors as Cann paced the team with a fifth-place finish with a time of 24:45.5, while Buck closed the conference event in sixth with a time of 24:46.0.
