San Francisco Returns to the Bay, Hosts Yale

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Returning to the Bay after competing in the Bank of Hawaii Classic, the University of San Francisco women's basketball team (1-4) is set to host Yale (0-5) at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 21 in a non-conference contest at War Memorial at the Sobrato Center.

DONS AT A GLANCE:
  • San Francisco is coming off two games at the Bank of Hawaii Classic, facing off against Hawaii and Cal State Fullerton at SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center.
  • Jasmine Gayles led the Dons in the tournament's opening game, recording a team-high 16 points in the 65-51 loss to Hawaii. Gayles, scoring in double figures for the fourth consecutive game, also accumulated three rebounds and one assist and shot 71.4 percent (five-for-seven) from the free-throw line.
  • Debora dos Santos also reached double figures for the Dons, scoring 11 points in 24 minutes. Dos Santos added her first career-three-point basket against the Rainbow Wahine, connecting in the fourth quarter.
  • Producing on both ends of the court throughout both games in the Aloha State, Cami Fulcher averaged 10 points and eight rebounds per game during the Bank of Hawaii Classic. Fulcher poured in eight points while securing a team-high nine rebounds against Hawaii. She followed with an 11-point, seven-rebound performance against Cal State Fullerton, leading the team in scoring. 
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS:
  • Yale enters Tuesday's contest after falling at Pacific in a 66-59 decision at the Alex G. Spanos Center on Monday. The Bulldogs produced four double-digit scorers against the Tigers, with Jenna Clark, Kiley Capstraw, and Nyla McGill scoring a team-high 11 points apiece.
  • Clark leads the team in scoring through five games this season, averaging 15.2 points per game. Clark has reached double figures in four of the season's first five games, including scoring 25 points in a loss to Lehigh. She also leads the team in assists (32), free-throw percentage (75 percent), and three-point shooting percentage (30.6 percent).
  • Capstraw, the team's second-leading scorer, is averaging 11.2 points per game and has also reached double figures in four of the first five games.
  • Defensively, McGill leads the Bulldogs in rebounding, averaging 8.6 per game, while accumulating seven steals.

Friday's non-conference contest at Hawaii will air live on ESPN+ at game time. The matchup against Cal State Fullerton will not be broadcasted. Live statistics are also available above and via the team's schedule page.
