SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - Battling to the brink in a midweek matchup, the University of San Francisco women's soccer team (4-5-2) dueled Portland (6-2-4) on Wednesday night as the Dons and Pilots finished in a 0-0 draw at Negoesco Stadium.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:
- Suiting up in her first collegiate start, Sydney Harpster fired the first shot of the evening for San Francisco at 11:30, but the freshman missed wide to start.
- Less than three minutes later, Jackie Koerwitz logged the first shot on frame for the Dons at 13:53, but was also unable to find the back of the net early on.
- As the half played on, Alex Carpio logged a shot of her own at 32:44, but neither side would be able to punch through in the opening 45 minutes at the match was scoreless at halftime.
- Coming out of the locker room, Konstantina Konidaris fired a shot at 64:31 followed by a shot from Kate Zimmerman at 66:02.
- Down the stretch, each offense continued to search for the go-ahead strike, which included Portland firing two shots on goa in the 78th and 83rd minutes. Coming up clutch for the green and gold, Kira Ybarra turned away both attempts to keep the game scoreless.
- With both sides battling until the final whistle, neither could find the momentum they needed offensively to take the lead as the match ended in a 0-0 draw after 90 minutes.Â
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES:
- Cracking the starting lineup for the first time as a Don, Harpster registered a career-high and team-high four shots against Portland.
- Off the bench, Tuva Norell played a season-high 62 minutes as the freshman continues to find her groove on the Hilltop.
- In goal, Ybarra picked up her third clean sheet of the season, which also marks her first shutout in conference action.
