SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - Closing out a three-game home stand, the University of San Francisco women's soccer team (3-4) looks to get back in the win column on Thursday night as the Dons will host San José State (0-5-2) at Negoesco Stadium in their final nonconference matchup of the season.

DONS AT A GLANCE:

• Last Thursday, San Francisco fell to LSU in a 4-1 match on the Hilltop. Despite the loss, three Dons tallied three shots in the contest: Natalie Drotzmann, Lindsey Chau, and Kaitlyn Sasadeusz.
• Already having a standout sophomore year, Sasadeusz leads the Dons in goals (three), total shots on goal (six) and total shots (15).
• This contest against San José State will mark the first game for Pinder Nijjar as head coach after his interim tag was removed from his title on Tuesday, Sept. 17. Notably, the Dons will look to end a two-game skid on Thursday.

SCOUTING THE SPARTANS:

• San José State heads to the Hilltop seeking its first victory of the season, as the Spartans are also closing out their non-conference slate with Thursday's match.
• Atop the stat sheet for SJSU are senior Kennedy Mayo and freshman Lillyanna Rodriguez, each having scored a goal for the Spartans this season.
• Notably, Mayo entered the 2024 campaign after earning a 2023 Mountain West All-Newcomer Team honor, totaling three goals and three assists last season.

SERIES HISTORY:
Thursday night's nonconference finale will mark the 19^th all-time meeting between San Francisco and San Jose State as the green and gold hold the lead in the all-time series 13-2-3, including victories in the previous two matchups. The Dons and Spartans will meet on the Hilltop for the first time in over a decade, having last played in San Francisco on Sep. 14, 2014 when the two teams tied in a 1-1 match.
