SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - Head coach Chris Gerlufsen and the University of San Francisco men's basketball program announced today the signing of guard Dylan Bordón (Corrientes, Argentina).
"We are proud to welcome Dylan Bordón to the University of San Francisco," said Gerlufsen.
"Dylan is a dynamic guard with a knack for touching the paint and putting pressure on the defense. He brings a strong competitive edge with him from his time at Tenerife and with the Argentine national team. Dylan has the ability to lift his team simply with his presence on the floor. We eagerly await Dylan's arrival to the Hilltop!"
Bordón made his professional debut at 15 years old for Club San Martín de Corrientes, a team that competes in the Torneo Nacional de Ascenso (TNA), the second division of the Argentine Liga Nacional de Básquetbol league system.
In 2022, he moved to Spain to join the development program of Gran Canaria, playing primarily with the club's reserve team while also making first-team appearances in both the Spanish ACB League and EuroCup.
Most recently, Bordón signed a two-year contract with La Laguna Tenerife (also known as CB Canarias) in August 2025, joining the first-team environment in Spain's top division. This past season, the 6-foot-3 guard suited up for Canarias' Liga U22 team, averaging 19.1 points, 5.0 assists, and 3.0 rebounds in 20 games.
Internationally, he has represented Argentina at multiple levels, including a breakout performance in the 2022 FIBA U18 AmeriCup. In the tournament, Bordón averaged 15.2 points, 4.6 assists, and 4.4 rebounds as he helped Argentina reach the championship game, in addition to being named the tournament's Best Point Guard. He made his debut with Argentina's senior national team in 2025 and helped his home country take home a silver medal at the 2025 FIBA AmeriCup.
