Men's Basketball Inks Guard Wisdom Fode

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - Head coach Chris Gerlufsen and the University of San Francisco (USF) men's basketball team announced today the signing of guard Wisdom Fode (Des Moines, Iowa).
"Wisdom is the exact kind of player we love bringing to USF," said Gerlufsen.
"He has a great attitude, great work ethic, and he really wants to be here on the Hilltop. Wisdom is an explosive athlete with great physical tools and a 6'9" wingspan as a guard. He wants to be coached and embrace the work it takes to reach his potential. We believe Wisdom's best basketball is still ahead of him, and our staff is excited to help him grow as a player. We can't wait to see him in a Dons uniform."
Fode grew up in Des Moines, Iowa, where he played at Des Moines North and Hoover High School.
He later transferred to Bella Vista Prep in Phoenix, Ariz., to finish his high school career. While at Bella Vista, he averaged roughly 16 points per game, 6 rebounds per game, 5 assists per game, and 3 steals per game.
On the amateur circuit, Fode played for Team Supreme AZ, a top independent grassroots and AAU basketball program in Arizona.
He comes to the Hilltop after also receiving offers from Kansas State, Monmouth, and Bethune-Cookman.
