Women's Basketball Releases 2026-27 Nonconference Schedule

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Head Coach Molly Goodenbour and the University of San Francisco women's basketball program have announced the nonconference schedule for the upcoming 2026-27 season.
"I'm pleased to release our nonconference schedule," Goodenbour said. "We have built an appropriately challenging slate of opponents featuring a balanced mix of home and away contests in order to prepare us for WCC competition. This season, we are fortunate to be able to travel to Maui to play two quality mid-major opponents and compete at a newly opened venue in Tahoe."
The nonconference slate features 13 contests, highlighted by seven contests on the Hilltop at War Memorial at the Sobrato Center. Along with the high-level competition at home, the green and gold are also set to compete in three neutral-site games at the Maui Classic against Idaho State and Ball State and a Bay Area showdown against California at the Lake Tahoe Classic.
Seven of the first nine games of the nonconference schedule will be played at home, with San Francisco hosting Hawaii on Thursday, Nov. 5 in the season opener at War Memorial at the Sobrato Center. The Dons will also face off against Long Beach State (Thursday, Nov. 19), CSU Bakersfield (Sunday, Nov. 22), Cal State East Bay (Wednesday, Nov. 25), Grand Canyon (Monday, Nov. 30), and Boise State (Friday, Dec. 4).
Following the season opener, the green and gold trek to South Lake Tahoe to compete in the Lake Tahoe Classic when it takes on California on Sunday, Nov. 8, at Tahoe Blue Event Center.
San Francisco's road contests include Air Force on Wednesday, Nov. 11, UC San Diego on Sunday, Nov. 15, Sacramento State on Tuesday, Dec. 8, and Colorado on Saturday, Dec. 12.
Two neutral-site games close out the first half of the season as San Francisco travels to Makawao, Hawaii to compete in the Maui Classic on Friday, Dec. 18 and Saturday, Dec. 19.
San Francisco enters the new campaign after finishing the 2025-26 season with a 19-15 overall record while finishing seventh in the West Coast Conference with a 9-9 mark. The Dons' 19 wins were the most in a season since posting a 19-13 record during the 2022-23 campaign.
The program also posted two victories in the 2026 WCC Championship in Las Vegas, Nev., defeating San Diego and Pepperdine in the second and third rounds to reach the quarterfinals for the sixth straight year. The green and gold's two wins in the conference tournament are the most by the team since winning the title in 2016. The team also earned an at-large bid to the 2026 WNIT, reaching a postseason tournament for the fourth time in Goodenbour's tenure.
Returning nearly 70 percent of its scoring from last season's roster, notable returners include All-WCC First Team honoree Candy Edokpaigbe and WCC All-Freshman Team member Aina Cargol. The Dons will also feature Noelia Mouriño, Nataša Taušová, and Paula Tirado for the upcoming season. Along with the returners, the Dons added five transfers in Ines Babaya (Salt Lake City Community College), Jayda Queeley (Pittsburgh), Savi Mi (Dodge City Community College), Keiryn McGuff (Akron/Bowling Green), and Lucia Yenes (New Mexico State) while welcoming Belize Ibáñez Mengüç, Emilie Beggs, and Maria Burliga as true freshmen.
