Dons Earn Top-10 Finishes at the Saint Mary's Invitational

CONCORD, Calif. – The University of San Francisco men's and women's cross country teams impressed at the Saint Mary's Invitational on Friday morning at Newhall Park, earning top-10 finishes for the second straight meet.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:
- On the women's side, San Francisco earned a third-place team finish, with three runners finishing in the top-20 out of 160 competitors. In her second 6k as a member of the green and gold, Bella Browne led the team with an eighth-place finish with a time of 20:50.6.
- Sophie Connolly crossed shortly after in 10th place at 21:02.5, her second-fastest time in the 6k in her career.
- Rounding out the scoring for the green and gold were Reese Tucker (19th – 21:14.9), Dordi Forseth (29th – 21:28.0), and Ashlyn Jacobsen (30th – 21:30.2).
- The men's program secured an eighth-place finish in the 8k with Cole Fiegener and Ben Olney finishing in 42nd and 46th, respectively. Fiegener led the way for the Dons with a time of 24:12.9, while Olney finished at 24:17.8.
- As a team, the women earned 94 points, only trailing Chico State (39 points) and California (69 points).
