2015 CROSS COUNTRY: In his first meet as a Don, he finished 44th at the USF Invitational, completing the course in 26:44.7...Placed 15th at the Boise State dual meet with a time of 27:49.1...Wrapped up his freshman season at the San Francisco State Invitational, finishing in 104th with a time of 26:51.7.

HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL: Won two NCS Championships (800m and 1600m)...Finished in 9th place at the California State Meet in the 800m...Graduated with Summa Cum Laude Honors from James Logan High School in Union City, Calif...Also a four-year member of the Superintendent Honor Roll...A two-time selection to the North Coast Section Scholastic Team...Volunteered with the UC Lightning Special Olympics Track and Field program...Earned eight varsity letters, four in cross country and four in track and field, and notched Mission Valley Athletic League All-League Honors all four years for both sports...Named the MVAL champion twice in the 1600m and the 4x400m relay and three times in the 800m...Owns the James Logan school record for the 4x800m...Personal bests include: 49.2 relay split (400m), 1:53.73 (800m), 4:22.65 (1600m), 9:37.59 (3200m) and 6:23.71 (2000m)...High school coach was Lee Webb...Son of Ariel and Doris Monsalud...His sister, Tiffany, runs cross country and track and field at Saint Mary’s College...Enjoys playing the ukulele and the saxophone in his free time.
