HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL: A two-time top-10 finisher at the Oregon Cross Country 6A State Championship...Named first-team all-state his junior year and second-team all-state as a senior...Competed in the Nike Cross Nationals his junior year...Personal bests are 1:58 (800m) and 4:08 (1500m)...His uncle, Steve Stageberg, ran cross country and track and field at Georgetown University...Son of Pamela and Brian Vik...Enjoys surfing, skateboarding and hiking in his free time.
