Swen Ivar Albert Johnsson was born on April 29, 1909 in Karlskrona, Sweden. He played soccer from 1926 to 1928, and emigrated to the United States on August 11, 1928 at the age of 17. He became a citizen on March 15, 1934 at the age of 24 and became a Physical Therapist. He treated USF athletes with injuries from 1937 to 1955. Johnsson was inducted into the USF Hall of Fame in 1974.
