Kari McCallum Cuneo was born on February 19, 1970 in Seattle, WA where she attended Roosevelt High School and was awarded a basketball scholarship at USF. After one year of basketball, she decided to pursue soccer, tennis and cross country instead. Her first year on the soccer team was as a starter, and she scored four goals and served as the team’s back up keeper. Her speed and endurance served her on the cross country and tennis teams, where she earned All-WCC recognition for cross country, women’s singles and women’s doubles in tennis.

Her junior year at USF, she was named MVP in both cross country and tennis. She was named to the All-WCC Team in soccer, and for both singles and doubles in tennis. She earned All-WCC honors again her senior year. She was awarded the Green and Gold Club Loyalty Award as top student athlete. She majored in both Psychology and Religion, made the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll, and earned the Anne Dolan Award as Top Female Athlete of 1992. She volunteered in elder care her senior year, and after graduation, returned to the Pacific Northwest and is active in both church and community programs.
